Acura has officially revealed the 2026 Acura ADX CZ-77 Concept, a one-of-a-kind custom SUV created in collaboration with extreme sports athlete and Vans representative Coco Zurita. Designed to blend street culture, BMX heritage, and automotive performance, the custom show vehicle makes its public debut at the Vans headquarters in Costa Mesa, California. The release coincides with the launch of Zurita's limited-edition signature footwear, celebrating his 20th anniversary with the Vans brand as well as the 60th anniversary of Vans itself.

As the entry gateway to the brand's crossover lineup, the standard production Acura ADX holds the top retail sales position in the premium compact SUV segment while attracting the youngest demographic of buyers in its class. With an average transaction price lower than the industry average transaction price for used luxury vehicles, the ADX plays an important commercial role for Acura. This custom collaboration marks the third project vehicle built by Zurita for Acura since 2022, following earlier builds of a 2023 Integra for SEMA and a 2024 TLX Type S displayed at the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Exterior Styling, Platform & Dimensions

The exterior of the ADX CZ-77 Concept is heavily reworked to echo the aggressive styling found in tuner and action sports culture. Built on Acura's compact premium crossover architecture, the custom concept receives an aerodynamic transformation highlighted by a custom carbon-fiber aero package. This setup includes a custom carbon-fiber front lip and splitter, extended side skirts, and an aggressive rear diffuser designed to channel airflow.

To widen the vehicle's stance, custom fender flare kits were installed on the bodywork. The vehicle rides on Rotiform 19 x 9.5-inch wheels fitted with aero discs and wrapped in Yokohama ADVAN Sport V105 performance tires. At the rear, the exterior is fitted with a custom rear crash bar and a purpose-built structural mounting system engineered to transport, secure, and display a BMX bike. Completing the aesthetic treatment are custom exterior graphics directly derived from the official Vans x Coco Zurita footwear campaign.

Powertrain, Performance & Specifications

Under the modified skin, mechanical hardware upgrades emphasize street tuner performance and sound characteristics. The ADX CZ-77 Concept incorporates a custom exhaust system to enhance the exhaust note during operation. Specific power figures, displacement, transmission details, and acceleration metrics for the underlying powertrain were not detailed in the official announcement.

Coco Zurita brought his direct competition background, which includes amateur drifting and Unlimited AWD class racing at Global Time Attack, into the specification of the running gear and chassis hardware. The dedicated hardware upgrades explicitly confirmed for the concept build are summarized below:

Cabin, Infotainment & Interior Technology

Inside, the CZ-77 Concept trades traditional compact SUV comfort for a dedicated motorsport and action sports interior environment. The factory rear seats were completely removed in a rear-seat delete conversion, replaced by an NRG harness bar installed behind the cockpit. Driver and passenger seating is upgraded to fixed Sparco racing bucket seats, paired with a Sparco steering wheel to provide direct driver control.

The cabin's styling is heavily driven by the Vans collaboration, with approximately 90% of the interior fabric supplied directly by Vans North America. The cabin upholstery was designed by Zurita using the high-durability materials standard in Vans Skate and BMX performance footwear lines. Additional bespoke cockpit features include a custom center console alongside distinct CZ-77 graphic badges and trim pieces applied throughout the cabin.

Trims, Safety Suite & Availability

Because the Acura ADX CZ-77 Concept is a strictly one-off show car, it will not enter serial production or be offered as a retail trim level at Acura dealerships. It made its official public debut on October 24 at Vans headquarters in Costa Mesa, California, running from 9:00 a.m. to noon. The accompanying Vans x Coco Zurita limited-edition shoe was made exclusively available online at vans.com.

For standard buyers, the underlying 2026 Acura ADX serves as a core production vehicle alongside the Integra, RDX, and MDX. Acura noted that approximately 85% of its vehicles sold in America in 2025 were assembled domestically using domestic and globally sourced parts. Specific pricing, equipment packages, and production trim breakdowns for the ADX family were not disclosed in the project release.

AkulRide Verdict

The Acura ADX CZ-77 Concept serves as an authentic cross-promotional bridge connecting factory automotive design with action sports culture. By integrating real footwear textiles, Sparco track hardware, and Rotiform aero wheels, Acura and Coco Zurita have successfully avoided shallow cosmetic marketing tropes. While enthusiasts cannot purchase this specific BMX-oriented vehicle off dealer showroom floors, the concept reinforces the ADX's reputation as a youthful, style-driven entry luxury crossover.
