The final Jaguar F-TYPE sports car produced at the brand's Castle Bromwich facility will be added to the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) collection, marking a historic moment: 50 years to the day since the last Jaguar E-type was produced.

This special F-TYPE, a 5.0-litre V8 Convertible in Giola Green with a black roof and Tan Windsor leather interior, is a tribute to the 1974 E-type Series III Convertible. The final F-TYPE will join its E-type predecessor in the official Jaguar Heritage collection and will be showcased at several key events and activities throughout the year.

The F-TYPE and E-type both marked the end of their production runs on nearly the same day, at the threshold of new and exciting automotive eras. While the E-type gave way to the iconic Jaguar XJ-S, the final F-TYPE signifies a new chapter for Jaguar as the brand readies a bold transformation with an all-electric Jaguar GT set to debut in 2025.

“The singular vision of Jaguar's founder, Sir William Lyons, was always to be future-facing, relevant, and original. This has been the foundation of Jaguar through almost a century of evolving contemporary British luxury. As we celebrate the F-TYPE and 75 years of Jaguar sports cars, we also look forward to the beginning of an exciting new era," said Rawdon Glover, Managing Director of Jaguar.

F-TYPE: A Legacy of Performance and Innovation

First launched in 2013, the Jaguar F-TYPE was Jaguar's first two-seat sports car in nearly 40 years. The convertible version was met with universal acclaim, winning the prestigious 2013 World Car Design of the Year award. The coupé version debuted in 2014, further solidifying the F-TYPE's position as a modern British sports car icon.

Since its launch, 87,731 F-TYPEs have been produced, with production set to end in early 2025. The final F-TYPE will be remembered as a symbol of Jaguar's ongoing commitment to performance, luxury, and design excellence.

As part of its ongoing legacy, the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust records show that Jaguar produced 72,528 E-types, with the final 50 units produced in a special run. These models will join the F-TYPE in the JDHT collection at Gaydon, alongside the final XE, XF, and XF Sportbrake models, marking the end of production for these iconic cars.

The Jaguar Heritage Collection will serve as a permanent tribute to the history of Jaguar's sports cars, preserving these legendary models for future generations to experience and admire.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Jaguar

As Jaguar celebrates the F-TYPE's rich history, the brand is preparing to embark on a new era, with a focus on an all-electric future. Jaguar's commitment to innovation will be exemplified by the upcoming launch of its four-door electric GT in 2025, representing the next phase in the brand's storied history.

With over 75 years of legacy in the performance car sector, Jaguar's future is set to be as exciting as its past, as it continues to push boundaries and lead the charge into a new, sustainable automotive era.
