On 30 October 2024, Lamborghini officially unveiled the highly anticipated Urus SE in Johannesburg, marking the debut of the brand's first hybrid plug-in super SUV in South Africa. The Urus SE combines Lamborghini's iconic 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, providing exceptional hybrid power. This combination generates an impressive 800 CV (588 kW) at 6000 rpm, alongside 950 Nm of torque available between 1750 rpm to 5750 rpm. These figures enable the Urus SE to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h.
