On 30 October 2024, Lamborghini officially unveiled the highly anticipated Urus SE in Johannesburg, marking the debut of the brand's first hybrid plug-in super SUV in South Africa. The exclusive event, held at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, was attended by 120 distinguished guests, including key figures such as Francesco Cresci, EMEA Director, and Paolo Sartori, Head of Middle East & Africa. The stunning Verde Gea (green) color made its South African debut, symbolizing Lamborghini's unique design and performance legacy.

Powerful Hybrid Performance

The Urus SE combines Lamborghini's iconic 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, providing exceptional hybrid power. This combination generates an impressive 800 CV (588 kW) at 6000 rpm, alongside 950 Nm of torque available between 1750 rpm to 5750 rpm. These figures enable the Urus SE to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 312 km/h.

Thanks to the plug-in hybrid system, the Urus SE delivers seamless power and torque across all conditions, ensuring an exhilarating driving experience. Innovations such as the electric torque vectoring system between the axles and the electronic rear differential elevate the vehicle's dynamics, enhancing handling and cornering precision, even at high speeds.

Sporty, Muscular Design

The design of the Urus SE continues Lamborghini's legacy of striking aesthetics. The front section features a redesigned hood with a floating design, enhancing the SUV's athletic appearance. This new design language echoes elements seen in the Lamborghini Revuelto. Additionally, the SUV is equipped with matrix LED headlight clusters that incorporate a light signature inspired by the iconic Lamborghini bull, as well as a new bumper and front grille design, making the Urus SE a true masterpiece on the road.

Environmental Efficiency

The Lamborghini Urus SE not only delivers high-performance but also offers remarkable efficiency for a vehicle of its caliber. Its combined fuel consumption is 2.08 l/100 km, with a combined power consumption of 39.5 kWh/100 km, and a combined CO2 emission of just 51.25 g/km (WLTP), showcasing the efficiency of the hybrid system.

The Lamborghini Urus SE hybrid plug-in SUV marks a new era in high-performance luxury vehicles. With its unmatched power, innovative hybrid technology, and striking design, the Urus SE is set to redefine the super SUV segment.
