The Auto Bild and Bild am Sonntag magazines have recognized DRIVE PILOT as the best innovation of the year, celebrating its significant contribution to the advancement of autonomous driving technology. The award was presented to Ola Källenius, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, at a gala ceremony held on November 7, 2024, at the Axel Springer-Haus in Berlin.

The editorial team noted that with the updated version of DRIVE PILOT, Mercedes-Benz is taking significant strides in offering highly automated driving features that enhance safety and convenience for drivers.

The new system is capable of following an advance driver on highways at speeds up to 95 km/h under certain conditions, offering customers even greater value and enhancing the driving experience with highly automated driving.
