Mercedes Benz launches GLB and EQB luxury 7 seater SUVs in India

Mercedes Benz has introduced the GLB and EQB luxury 7 seater SUVs. Mercedes Benz has launched three powertrains simultaneously for the first time - a petrol (GLB 200), a diesel (GLB220d, GLB 220d 4M) and an EV (EQB 300). EQB is the third electric luxury vehicle launched by Mercedes Benz in India in 2022. The company has already installed 30 ultra fast chargers (180/ 60 kWh).
A few features of these SUVs are:
  • Both EQB and GLB are CBU (completely built units)
  • Both the models have foldable second and third row seats with boot capacity of 1620 liters (EQB) and 1680 liters (GLB)
  • The second row offers 40:20:40 split
  • EQB 4MATIC has a 66.5 kWh lithium ion battery with high energy density and a range of 423km (WLTP) and comes with a complementary AC wallbox charger along with 8 years battery warranty
  • GLB 220d 4MATIC comes with off-road engineering package to adapt engine’s power delivery and ABS control for rough terrain and an 8 year Engine transmission warranty
  • The prices are (All India ex showroom prices):
    • GLB 200: ₹63.8 lakhs
    • GLB 220d: ₹66.8 lakhs
    • GLB 220d 4MATIC: ₹69.8 lakhs
    • EQB 300 4MATIC: ₹74.5 lakhs
