Škoda Auto India has unveiled its latest addition to the Indian car market: the all-new Škoda Kylaq, a compact sub-4-metre SUV designed and manufactured in India. The Kylaq is set to redefine the SUV experience in India, offering advanced features, excellent driving dynamics, and a sleek design that reflects Škoda's new Modern Solid design language. The Kylaq will be available starting in early 2025 at a competitive price of INR 789,000 (around EUR 8,700).

Designed and Manufactured in India for Indian Customers

The Škoda Kylaq is the brand's third locally developed model after the Kushaq and Slavia, specifically tailored to meet the needs of Indian consumers. With SUVs accounting for nearly 50% of all new car sales in India, the Kylaq enters the sub-4-metre SUV segment, a highly competitive and popular market.

According to Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto, β€œThe Škoda Kylaq is designed in India and for India, offering a new entry point to our brand. With its modern design and safety features, it is set to appeal to a wide range of customers in the growing SUV segment.”

Powerful and Efficient Performance

The Škoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0 TSI engine that delivers 85 kW (115 hp) and 178 Nm of torque, ensuring a blend of performance and fuel efficiency. It offers a choice between a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, allowing for smooth and responsive driving both in the city and on the highway. The Kylaq can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 10.5 seconds with a top speed of 188 km/h.

Modern Solid Design Language

The Škoda Kylaq features the brand's new Modern Solid design language, marking a significant evolution in Škoda's design philosophy. Signature design elements include a shiny black grille with 3D ribs, a bold lower front spoiler in aluminum optics, and slim, minimalist LED headlights. The Kylaq's compact yet robust dimensions give it a confident SUV stance, while the high ground clearance ensures the vehicle is ready for both urban and off-road adventures.

For the first time in India, the Kylaq is available in a unique new color: Olive Gold, along with other striking color options.

Perfect for Indian Conditions

The Škoda Kylaq has been rigorously tested to endure the diverse terrains and weather conditions in India. It has undergone over 800,000 kilometers of testing, simulating various conditions from extreme altitudes to high temperatures. This ensures that the Kylaq is built for reliability, even in the harshest Indian environments.

Built with Sustainability in Mind

The Škoda Kylaq is manufactured at the Chakan plant, which utilizes solar energy to generate 30% of its power, with plans to increase this to 75% by 2026. The plant is also water-positive, ensuring that it returns more water than it consumes. The Kylaq itself incorporates sustainable materials, such as a bamboo-fiber-infused dashboard pad, contributing to a greener future.
