Stellantis has introduced its innovative STLA Frame platform, designed to power the next generation of full-size, body-on-frame trucks and SUVs. The versatile platform supports a range of propulsion systems, including Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Range-Extended Electric Vehicles (REEV), hybrid, hydrogen, and internal combustion engines. The STLA Frame platform is engineered for unparalleled capabilities, providing industry-leading range, towing capacity, and payload for a variety of vehicle applications.

Unmatched Range and Performance

The STLA Frame platform offers exceptional performance with a maximum range of 690 miles (1,100 km) for Range-Extended Electric Vehicles (REEV) and up to 500 miles (800 km) for pure Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV). This impressive range ensures that drivers can tackle long journeys without worrying about recharging. Additionally, the platform offers a best-in-class towing capacity of 14,000 pounds (6,350 kg) and a payload rating of 2,700 pounds (1,224 kg), making it the perfect choice for those needing power and reliability for heavy-duty tasks.

Dual Electric Drive Modules for All-Wheel Drive

The STLA Frame platform is equipped with dual electric drive modules (EDMs), providing standard all-wheel drive (AWD) capability. This system ensures smooth handling and traction under various driving conditions, whether on rugged terrain or urban roads. The electric drive modules are capable of delivering impressive acceleration, enabling vehicles to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

Advanced Design for Durability and Efficiency

Built with advanced, high-strength steel, the STLA Frame platform combines durability with reduced weight. The platform's reinforced frame rails protect the battery during side impacts, while a full-length belly pan helps reduce aerodynamic drag, enhancing the vehicle's overall efficiency. The frame is designed to accommodate a variety of battery configurations, with liquid-cooled battery packs ranging from 159 kWh to over 200 kWh, ensuring flexibility and future-proofing for evolving energy storage technologies.

Charging Flexibility and Bi-directional Power

The STLA Frame platform supports fast charging, with the BEV configurations offering 800-volt DC fast charging up to 350 kW, which can add 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes. For REEV configurations, 400-volt DC fast charging at up to 175 kW can provide up to 50 miles of range in the same time. In addition, STLA Frame vehicles are equipped with bi-directional charging capability, allowing them to power other electric vehicles, provide emergency power to a home, or even feed electricity back to the grid.

Designed for Future Electrification Needs

The STLA Frame platform is part of Stellantis' bold vision for the future, supporting the company's Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. This platform joins other global BEV platforms such as STLA Medium and STLA Large, ensuring Stellantis can meet diverse customer needs and adoption rates for electrification. The platform is designed for long-term sustainability, with the ability to integrate future battery technologies, electric drive modules, power inverters, and software updates.

Commitment to Electrification and Sustainability

Stellantis is investing more than €50 billion in electrification by 2030 to achieve its ambitious goals, including a 100% BEV sales mix for passenger cars in Europe and a 50% BEV sales mix for passenger cars and light-duty trucks in the U.S. by 2030. With the STLA Frame platform, Stellantis is delivering the right solutions for customers seeking no-compromise electrification, offering powerful, versatile, and sustainable vehicles for both personal and commercial use.
