Geely Auto has unveiled the Monjaro EM-i at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, introducing its flagship D-segment plug-in hybrid SUV to European audiences. The model is the brand's fourth new energy vehicle to launch in Europe and forms part of its expanding portfolio of electric and hybrid vehicles.
Taking place from October 12 to 18 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, the 2026 Paris Motor Show provides Geely Auto with a platform to present its latest electrified models. The Monjaro EM-i leads the display, alongside the Geely E2, Geely E5, Starray EM-i and Project KO11, an upcoming off-road SUV identified by its internal development code.
The Monjaro EM-i combines a 1.5T hybrid engine with Geely's EM-i Super Hybrid system. Depending on the version, the SUV offers either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with a claimed electric driving range of up to 116 km under the WLTP test cycle.
Geely Monjaro EM-i Powertrain and Performance
The Geely Monjaro EM-i uses a dedicated 1.5T hybrid engine and the manufacturer's EM-i Super Hybrid system. The setup is designed to combine electric driving capability with the flexibility of a hybrid powertrain for everyday travel and longer journeys.
The all-wheel-drive Ultra version develops a maximum combined output of 246 kW and peak torque of 667 Nm, according to Geely. The front-wheel-drive version has a stated top speed of 200 km/h. These figures apply to the specified versions and should not be interpreted as identical performance figures across the entire range.
The intelligent e-AWD system is designed to balance handling and efficiency. The SUV also features CCD suspension, which adjusts within milliseconds to help optimise body control and ride comfort.
Geely states that the Monjaro EM-i offers an electric driving range of up to 116 km under WLTP testing, while combined fuel consumption can be as low as 2.4 litres per 100 km. Actual range and fuel consumption will depend on the vehicle configuration, driving conditions and how the hybrid system is used.
The Ultra version supports DC fast charging at up to 78 kW. Geely says the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 15 minutes under suitable conditions.
Exterior Dimensions and Luggage Space
The Monjaro EM-i measures approximately 4.8 metres in length and has a 2,845 mm wheelbase. These dimensions place it in the D-segment SUV category, with a layout intended to provide generous passenger space and practical luggage capacity.
Geely lists front headroom at 992 mm and front shoulder room at 1,457 mm. The luggage compartment can expand to a maximum capacity of 2,183 litres, giving the SUV additional flexibility for family travel and carrying larger loads. The maximum figure should not be confused with the luggage capacity available when all passenger seats are in use.
Interior Technology and Comfort Features
The Geely Monjaro EM-i features a digital cockpit built around the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit system. Its display arrangement combines a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 25.6-inch head-up display.
Navigation guidance is synchronised between the central touchscreen and instrument cluster, while selected driving information is projected onto the head-up display. The integrated arrangement is intended to make important vehicle information easier for the driver to access.
The cabin also offers a 16-speaker Flyme Sound audio system. Headrest speakers provide four listening modes: Driving, Private, Shared and Smart. These modes are designed to accommodate different listening preferences within the cabin.
Comfort equipment includes front seats with eight-point acupressure massage, three-level heating and ventilation. Geely has also incorporated its 11-layer Marshmallow Comfort Seat design, which is intended to combine a soft surface with supportive cushioning.
Safety Systems and Driver Assistance
Geely says the Monjaro EM-i is equipped with 17 advanced driver assistance system features and nine driving comfort assistance features. These systems are intended to support the driver in a range of situations, although their availability and operation may vary by specification and market.
The SUV also incorporates a high-strength steel safety cage and Geely's Battery Safety System. The manufacturer has highlighted these elements as part of its approach to occupant protection and battery safety.
The Paris Motor Show announcement does not provide a confirmed Euro NCAP crash-test rating for the Monjaro EM-i. A safety rating should therefore not be assumed from the equipment list alone.
Geely Expands Its European Vehicle Lineup
The Monjaro EM-i is part of a broader expansion of Geely Auto's new energy vehicle range in Europe. At the Paris Motor Show, the company is also displaying the Geely E2 electric car, the Geely E5 electric SUV and the Starray EM-i plug-in hybrid SUV.
The group is developing its European presence through a combination of additional vehicle launches, local sales operations and after-sales support. As of September 2026, Geely Auto reported a presence in 27 European countries, supported by five local subsidiaries in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Hungary and Spain.
The company also reported more than 450 retail outlets across Europe. Its expanding network is intended to improve customer access to vehicle sales and servicing as more models enter regional markets.
Alongside the current lineup, Geely Auto is displaying Project KO11, an internal development code for a new-generation off-road SUV planned for future introduction in Europe. The announcement does not confirm its final production name, detailed technical specifications or market-specific launch timing.

Pricing and Market Availability
Geely's Paris Motor Show announcement establishes the Monjaro EM-i's European market debut but does not provide a complete country-by-country pricing structure. Detailed trim levels, equipment differences and local delivery schedules will be important in determining the SUV's competitive position in individual European markets.
Buyers should also distinguish between manufacturer-quoted performance figures and results achievable in everyday driving. The stated electric range follows the WLTP test cycle, while charging time depends on factors such as battery temperature, charging equipment and the state of charge.
AkulRide Verdict
The Geely Monjaro EM-i expands the manufacturer's European portfolio with a plug-in hybrid SUV offering substantial claimed performance, an electric driving range of up to 116 km and a technology-focused cabin. Its combination of front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations gives Geely scope to address different customer requirements, while the updated infotainment, comfort equipment and driver assistance features broaden its appeal.
The key details to watch are country-specific pricing, final market configurations and real-world efficiency. The claimed specifications are promising on paper, but the Monjaro EM-i's competitiveness will ultimately depend on its pricing, equipment levels, driving performance and ownership support in each European market.
